Job summary

Bally's in East St. Louis, IL is hiring a prep cook to join our kitchen team. You will follow recipes and standards to produce batch items for service, operate and clean kitchen equipment, and keep your station organized and sanitary.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of prep cook experience in a fast-paced setting and possess a high school diploma or GED. This is an on-site role with a team-focused, guest-service oriented environment.

• Ability to adjust to guests needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Must abide by all health department rules/regulations. Understands time and temperature controls and has a working knowledge of food safety.
• Knowledgeable in the products the company serves.
• Sets and keeps workstation and the surrounding areas properly stocked, clean, safe, and organized.
• Communicates all guest service opportunities, quality issues, and product shortages to management.
• Must proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage resources.
• Follows the company’s attendance policy as well as other rules and regulations set forth in the handbook.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working Environment & Physical Efforts

• The hospitality industry is a 24 Hour 365-day operation.
• This position will primarily be indoor under controlled temperatures.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor climates
• Frequent: standing, walking, with repetitive movement of fingers, legs, arms, and hands
• Occasional: sitting, kneeling, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Speech and Vision abilities are required

Target Salary Rate: $17.00 per hour
