Coal Town Public House is seeking a Prep Cook to efficiently prepare and portion foods per the recipe book, weigh and mix ingredients, and maintain sanitary standards in a fast-paced kitchen. You will support BOH staff and ensure safe, clean work areas while meeting service expectations.
Responsibilities include stocking, prepping lists, operating stations, and adhering to Safe Serve practices; strong teamwork and reliability are essential for weekend shifts and a flexible schedule.
PREP COOK JOB SUMMARY
The Prep Cook is responsible for: (1) efficiently and accurately preparing and portioning food products for customer consumption, (2) weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients and food items according to the Company’s recipe book, (2) following Company, state, and federal sanitary standards and safety standards to promote a safe dining environment for guests and safe work environment for employees, (3) maintaining a positive work environment by working professionally with both the back of the house and front of the house staff members, and (4) exceeding our guests’ service standards and expectations, all while adhering to direction from management.
PREP COOK ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
PREP COOK SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent optional
Experience
Minimum of two years of experience in a large commercial kitchen operation required
Must be at least 18 years old
ServSafe Certification
CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred

COMPENSATION: $21.00 - $23.00 PER HOUR BASED ON EXPERIENCE, FREE PARKING, FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS INCLUDING SUNDAYS
