Job summary

Bally's Corporation in Chicago seeks a kitchen team member to uphold the Bally's Born to Entertain philosophy by delivering a fun, guest-focused dining experience. You will prepare and cook items to standard, manage plating for large functions, and maintain clean, organized work areas while supporting a fast-paced kitchen.

The role requires 21+, a valid Illinois gaming license, and Food Handler certification, with availability for nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board.
• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• 6 months or more years related experience or training preferred.
• Must be Food Handler Certified.
• Must have open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Foster an environment that embodies Bally's Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere.
• Enthusiastically promote Bally's customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations.
• Prepare and cook all items according to company standards for recipes and procedures, including the seasoning, finish and garnishment of all food items and entrees.
• Adheres to time and sequence of cooking operations to meet service standards/hours.
• Performs all basic cooking operations including deep fat frying, broiling, steaming, sauteing, basic oven work and production/prep work.
• Plate up food items and dish up for large functions.
• Effectively use kitchen tools and utensils including knives, slicers, choppers, mixers, steamers and braziers.
• Work assigned station in the kitchen, with responsibility for the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned area.
• Assist other kitchen personnel as needed.
• Properly use and store food items and kitchen supplies.
• Complete prep work for next shift.
• Transport food and supplies to workstations as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the coolers and dry storage areas.
