Embassy of Valley View is seeking a Cook to prepare meals in accordance with current standards, under the direction of the Head Cook and the Director of Food Services, ensuring quality food service at all times. Responsibilities include reviewing menus, coordinating dietary service, and working with the facility's dietitian to implement changes while adhering to safety and sanitation rules.

Requires high school education, English proficiency, and a sanitation certificate; one year of dietary

Competenze

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education.
• Must be at least 18 years old in age.
• One (1) year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility preferred (but not necessary).
• Must have a sanitation certificate—such as SafeServ.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Mansioni

• Review menus prior to preparation of food.
• Inspect special diet trays to assure that the correct diet is served to the resident in accordance with diet order and correction portion size.
• Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submit to the Director of Food Services.
• Coordinate dietary service with other departments as necessary.
• Work with the facility's dietitian as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.
• Assure that dietary substitutions are made in accordance with facility dietitian recommendations
• Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
