Taher, Inc. is seeking a Lead Cook to join our Elementary School team. Lead with passion for scratch recipes and high standards, while overseeing menu development and cost efficiency.

This is a day shifts role with guaranteed hours and no nights or weekends. Taher offers growth opportunities, daily lunch, uniforms, PPE, and comprehensive training within a supportive, inclusive culture.

Formación

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to teach, train and direct a team; good computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
• Successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsabilidades

• Following standardized recipes and writing menus.
• Ensuring meals meet quality standards and are prepared timely.
• Managing ordering, receiving, storing and inventory control of perishable products following HACCP.
• Reinforcing USDA regulations.
• Conducting cost control analysis while monitoring product and menu costs.
• Controlling waste and managing cost and budget performance.
• Using time management to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by leadership.

• Ensuring all meals meet quality standards, are correctly prepared and within acceptable time limits
• Managing ordering, receiving, storing and inventory control of all perishable products following specific procedures and HACCP standards
• Reinforcing USDA regulations
• Conducting cost control analysis while monitoring product and menu costs
• Controlling waste and effectively managing cost and budget performance
• Using time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Performs other related duties as assigned by leadership
