You’ll work a varied schedule, including weekends, to cover PTO and department needs. Our Cook team coordinates meal production for patients and staff, assists with menu modification, inventory management, and infection control.

This is a per diem (casual) position located at our Scripps Mercy campus in Chula Vista. Must be available to work a varied shift (start time will be dependent upon the department's need) and varied schedule including weekends. This position will assist in providing coverage for PTO, leave of absence, and other departmental needs.

Our Cook team coordinates, preps a volume production of meals for patients, cafeteria, catering/special events. Performs job functions to support the following Food Service operational systems; safe food handling, volume food production, menu development and modification, meal assembly and portion control, inventory management and infection control/sanitation. Follows established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with food and safety regulatory requirements.
