Job summary

Scripps Health's Chula Vista Mercy campus is seeking a per diem cook to support the food service team. You'll assist in providing patient-centered meals and cover PTO and other departmental needs with varied shifts.

You will coordinate and prep volume meals for patients, cafeteria, and events, following safety and portion control guidelines, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, preps a volume production of meals for patients, cafeteria, catering/special events.
• Follows established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with food and safety regulatory requirements.
• Supports PTO, leave of absence, and other departmental needs through on-call coverage.

Job description

This is a per diem (casual) position located at our Scripps Mercy campus in Chula Vista. Must be available to work a varied shift (start time will be dependent upon the department's need) and varied schedule including weekends. This position will assist in providing coverage for PTO, leave of absence, and other departmental needs.
