Overview

Cook- Per Diem role at Concern Housing.

Concern Housing is seeking a per diem Cook that allows the opportunity to be creative while working independently. Includes preparing dinner for approximately 40 residents on a daily basis. Flexible hours with the potential for full time employment. Culinary grads and retirees welcome.

Responsibilities

Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the agency’s maintenance policies and procedures.
Control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from storage areas, product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control procedures.
Be knowledgeable of agency policies regarding personnel and report any concerns/problems to program director.
Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points.
Ensure all scheduled cleaning is completed.
Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings.

Qualifications

A minimum of 1 year experience in cook position or relevant experience.

Compensation

Salary: $16/hr.
