Job summary

University Behavioral Center, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., is seeking a hospital kitchen cook to prepare meals for residents and staff according to a set menu. The role requires timely food production and maintaining sanitary work areas on a large institutional kitchen campus in Orlando.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds.

Job Summary

The cook is responsible for preparing / cooking meals and other food requests based on a specific menu on a timely basis, and within a required volume, to meet the food needs of the residents and staff. Responsible for promptly cleaning and organizing the work areas to maintain a required health statutes of the facility.

This is a PD position (As needed).

Qualifications

Requirements

Education: High school graduation preferred.

Experience: 1-3 years' experience cooking in a large institutional or healthcare/hospital kitchen setting. Psychiatric health care facility, is preferred.

Certification Requirements: Food Handlers Permit /ServSafe certificate required.
