Job summary

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital in Orlando, FL is hiring a dietary aide to prepare and serve regular and special diets to patients and staff under the supervision of the Dietary Director.

Responsibilities include following production sheets, ensuring appealing presentation and proper temperatures, serving patients, following menus, and assisting with meal cleanup, while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Investigation.
• Food Handler's Certification required (can be obtained upon hire).
• (1) year experience in a behavioral health facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve regular and special diets to patients and staff.
• Follow production sheets for meal prep and future meals.
• Ensure appetizing food presentation and correct temperatures on serving line and storage areas.
• Follow menus and adjust substitutions as needed.
• Serve patients and assist with meal cleanup.

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults. Position Summary

The overall functions of this position are to prepare and serve regular and special diets to patients and employees under the supervision of the Dietary Director.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Follows production sheets for preparation of current and future meals;
• Ensures food presentation is pleasant and food temperatures are approprate on the serving line and in food storage areas;
• Follows published menus and completes substituion schedule when necessary;
• Serves patients
• Conducts meal clean-up: ensuring floor is swept, tables and dishes are properly cleaned and mopping is completed;
