Responsibilities

• Prepares meals, snacks and food for special functions.
• Cleans kitchen, equipment and storage areas; maintains sanitation.
• Ensures proper operation of food service equipment and reports concerns to the manager.
• Monitors compliance with health and CARF standards.
• Follows dietary standards for patient meals.
• Presents attractive plates and serves meals on time at proper temperatures.
• Maintains daily temperature logs with thermometers in cold storage units.
• Plans and coordinates preparation for next day’s meals.
• Attends trainings and required in-services.
• Checks deliveries for accuracy and quality.
