Job summary

Hammond Square is seeking a Cook to prepare fresh, appealing meals for residents and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. You will work with a team to ensure high quality service and resident satisfaction.

The role requires ServSafe eligibility or certification, a high school diploma or GED, and 1 year of related food prep experience; 3 years in healthcare or hospitality preferred. Competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Maintains a current ServSafe certificate or able to participate in the food services sanitation training to become ServSafe certified.
• High School diploma or GED accepted.
• A culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred.
• One (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and therapeutic diets.
• Must be 16 years or older. In NC, must be 18 years or older if operating power-driven machines such as a meat slicer, mixer, etc.
• Three years’ experience in a healthcare, hospitality or service environment preferred.
• Culinary arts experience preferred.
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred.
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others.
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
