Job summary

The Salvation Army Addiction Treatment Services (ATS) is seeking a part-time Cook (27 hours/week) for Saturdays, Sundays, and Monday evenings. Under the direction of the Food Service Coordinator, you will prepare evening meals and ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.

You will supervise and train residents in the kitchen, work independently, and support serving meals during the designated periods.

Qualifications

  • Satisfactory combination of education, training and experience in food service and preparation.
  • Ability to supervise residents and work independently in meal preparation.
  • Sanitation and purchasing knowledge relevant to institutional dietary service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare evening meals for a large group within designated meal times.
  • Provide supervision and training to residents assigned to the kitchen.
  • Follow all standards and procedures established by the Food Service Coordinator.
