Morrison Living is hiring immediately for part-time COOK positions.

• Location: Cottages at Garden Grove - 5460 Meltzer Court, Cicero, NY 13039
• Schedule: Part-time. Days and hours may vary. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Food service experience required.
• Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting standards, and ensuring food is at the correct temperature and visually appealing. Tastes all prepared food items.
• Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records from the area worked during service periods.
• Cleans the kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food per safe food-handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized. Ensures proper storage of food and supplies.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies as needed.
• Reports maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Performs job safely, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards.
• Personal commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate protective gear and safe lifting techniques.
