Job summary

Layne's Chicken Fingers is seeking a line cook to join our Texas-inspired kitchen in a fun, fast-paced environment. You will bread and fry chicken, toast Texas bread, and grill cheese and bacon for club sandwiches while maintaining a clean, efficient work area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare chicken and breading, fry to perfection in state-of-the-art fryers.
• Manning the griddle and toast bread for club sandwiches.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization.
• Coordinate with front cashier and drive-thru on order flow.
• Assist with prep and keep up with orders from front and drive-thru.

THE ROLE:

As a Cook, your main responsibilities will be to prepare our chicken, breading it in our uniquely seasoned breading and frying it to perfection in our state-of-the-art fryers, manning our griddle plate where we toast our authentic Texas toasting bread, and grill our cheese and bacon for our famous club sandwiches. A huge part of who we are and what we are about is our fun-loving, non-corporate environment, so as a Layne's Line Cook you will be part of our culture which ensures everyone has fun while we serve our guests our "Soon to be Famous" Chicken Fingers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate with the front cashier and drive-thru on the number of customers present.
• Communicate with other cooks on food status and speed.
• Assist with prep.
• Ensure the kitchen remains immaculate, cleaning as often as possible
• Keep up to pace with orders from both the front and drive-thru.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience in a fast-food concept.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
