Job summary

Layne's Chicken Fingers in Texas is seeking a Line Cook to prepare fresh daily hand cut chicken, breading, fryers, and grill club sandwiches as part of a fun, non‑corporate team. This role emphasizes teamwork, fast service, and quality customer experience.

You will work with the front of house to maintain pace, assist with prep, and keep the kitchen clean and organized; must be at least 16, able to lift 55 lbs, and embrace a flexible schedule.

Role Summary:

As a Line Cook, your main responsibilities will be to prepare our fresh daily hand cut chicken, breading it in our uniquely seasoned breading and frying it to perfection in our state-of-the-art fryers, manning our griddle plate where we toast our authentic Texas toasting bread, and grill our cheese and bacon for our famous club sandwiches. This job is so important that we gave it an Executive Title…CFO, Chicken Frying Officer. A huge part of who we are and what we are about is our fun loving, non-corporate environment, so as a Layne's Line Cook you will be part of our culture which ensures everyone has fun while we serve our guests our "Soon To Be Famous" TM chicken fingers.
