Job summary

Care Initiatives in Iowa is seeking a compassionate Cook to join our team on a part-time schedule. You will contribute to menu planning, prepare and serve meals, and ensure nutritious, well-balanced dishes that enhance residents' comfort and dining experience.

As a Cook you will work closely with dietary staff, follow safety guidelines, and show warmth and respect in daily interactions with residents. Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, tuition reimbursement, and other perks are available.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food, Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting a plus!

• Prepare and serve meals that create an enjoyable, dignified dining experience and support residents’ comfort, satisfaction, and quality of life.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and attractively presented in accordance with dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Develop positive, respectful relationships with residents by engaging with them and incorporating feedback into meal service whenever possible.
