Job summary

Alltown Fresh is seeking a Line Cook to join our culinary team. You will work directly with our culinary team, using state of the art equipment to prep fresh ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, and supporting meal prep.

We partner with local farms, emphasize hospitality, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Flex hours, including mornings, weekends or holidays, may be required; pay ranges from $16.51 to $19.94 per hour, with final offer based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates take pride in cooking from their hearts and serve guests with care.
• Experience with fresh seasonal ingredients is preferred but not required.
• Strict attention to cleanliness and flexible availability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prep, label and stock ingredients; maintain an organized workspace.
• Wash, chop vegetables, cut meat and assist with sauces and accompaniments.
• Interact with guests, showcase passion for foodservice and hospitality.
• Communicate inventory needs to Chef and follow safe food handling procedures.
• Rotate stock, store produce at proper temperatures, and assist with daily/weekly cleaning.

Alltown Fresh is looking to expand our family by adding a Line Cook to our team! We are looking for a person who demonstrates their passion for the kitchen and being heartfelt when preparing dishes using locally sourced ingredients. You will work directly with our Chef and Sous Chef daily, using state of the art equipment and tested recipes, to create a warm and welcoming place to work and create. We partner with local farms and regional purveyors to create fresh seasonal menu offerings, take pride in giving back weekly to our local communities and hold ourselves to setting the next standard. Your Role, Your Impact

• You will work directly with our culinary team, using state of the art equipment to prep fresh ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat and other meal prep.
• Responsible for prepping, labeling and stocking ingredients while maintaining an organized and efficient workspace.
• Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins.
• Interacting with guest throughout the day showcasing our passion for foodservice and exhibiting our dedication towards hospitality.
• Awareness of ingredients and potential allergens within recipes. Pays special attention to guests who communicate certain allergies or specific diet concerns.
• Responsible for communicating inventory and kitchen needs to Chef including but not limited to prep, grab and go items, cleaning and sanitization items and paper goods.
• Understands and follows safe food handling procedures.
• Follows established guidelines rotating stock items and storing produce at appropriate temperatures. Takes ownership of the dish station making sure area is set up and stocked as well as washing dishes as needed.
• Follows and performs both daily and weekly cleaning assignments.
• Empties trash as needed daily.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates approach their job with pride, cook from their hearts, and genuinely love to take care of their guests.
• Previous experience with fresh seasonal ingredients, butchery, appreciated but not necessary.
• Uncompromising work ethic and attention to detail and cleanliness required.
• Must be available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, weekends and or holidays.
• Vocational or Technical Education High school diploma or GED.

Pay Range

$16.51 - $19.94

The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
