Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality, owner of Marriott Colorado Springs, is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare food across multiple outlets, maintain high quality, and uphold sanitation standards in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

The role offers growth within our hospitality group and exposure to Banquets, Room Service, and Dining operations at a premier Colorado Springs property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related culinary field is preferred, with 3-6 years line cook experience.
• Food Handler Certification is required and must comply with state requirements; can be provided by the hotel if not currently held
• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or commercial kitchen environment is preferred
• Working knowledge of food safety, proper storage and rotation procedures, and kitchen sanitation standards
• Ability to read and follow standardized recipes and production charts accurately
• Ability to convey information and ideas clearly to team members and leadership
• Flexible availability to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Responsibilities

• Preparing all food items based on standardized recipes for the restaurant, dining outlets, room service, employee cafeteria, and banquets while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency
• Maintaining, setting up, and executing food production and quality control for all meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks, seasonings, and other food items prepared across stations
• Completing all necessary food and station preparations prior to opening to ensure prompt service
• Maintaining your post on the kitchen line during service and ensuring efficient order execution
• Preparing and displaying buffet items according to Pyramid Global Hospitality and Marriott standards
