Job summary

The SummerEngineering Co-Op at Cook Group in Bloomington, IN offers a paid 12-week rotation across our R&D teams with direct mentor support and real-world medical device manufacturing experience, including a housing stipend, 401(k), fitness center access, and capstone presentation.

Participants will produce project deliverables, follow QMS/regulatory guidelines, complete training, collaborate across global teams, and maintain safety and timely attendance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• College or University Junior or Senior preferred working towards a bachelor's degree in Engineering (Graduate students also considered)
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Must provide proof of enrollment in an accredited college or university

Overview

The SummerEngineering Co-Op is a paid co-op experience located in Bloomington, IN. We offer a 12-weekrotation in Research and Development Engineering and have multiple positions open across our R&D teams. This position includes a housing stipend, 401(k), fitness center access, learning events, capstone presentation, and more. All Co-Oppositions are assigned a direct mentor and each position provides real-world experience with meaningful projects in the medical device manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Utilize engineering knowledge to produce project deliverables/ documents
• Adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS) and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth

• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
• Must have effective communication skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
• Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

• On-site and hybrid positions that work under general office environmental conditions
• Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.
