Summary:
The Cook will work alongside the Chef to prepare and cook nutritious meals that are not only delicious and visually appealing but also leave our MOW clients and PACE clients feeling satisfied with the meals they receive. The Cook will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local food safety requirements.
Our Meals on Wheels serves older adults and homebound in Shawnee, Jefferson and Douglas counties. We deliver hot, nutritious meals daily which can assist people to remain independent in their homes.
Employment Status: Full Time | M-F 6am-2pm
Pay range starting at $15+/hour (Based on experience)

Qualifications
Required: Ability to attend work on a consistent basis, which includes arriving timely and staying for the full shift per Midland Care’s attendance policy. Must enjoy cooking, especially on a large scale. Must be passionate about producing nutritious and good tasting food. Must possess a valid Kansas or Missouri Driver’s License, in force automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization’s insurability standard as defined by Midland policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position. One year of experience in food service, cooking and kitchen duties. Must be able to do kitchen math. Must be able to read and interpret recipes.
