Summary

Midland is currently hiring a PRN Cook to join our team on an as-needed basis. The PRN Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to menu specifications for our Meals on Wheels kitchen as well as our Hospice House kitchen. Additionally, they will ensure the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.

Employment Status: PRN

Pay Rate: $17/hour

Qualifications

Required: Ability to attend work on a consistent basis, including arriving timely and staying for the full shift per Midland Care’s attendance policy. Must enjoy cooking, especially on a large scale, and be passionate about producing nutritious and good-tasting food. Must possess a valid Kansas or Missouri Driver’s License, in-force automobile liability insurance, and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets the organization’s insurability standards as defined by Midland policy. Reliable transportation is required. One year of experience in food service, cooking, and kitchen duties. Ability to do kitchen math and interpret recipes.

Preferred: Serv-Safe Training Certification. Two or more years of food service and cooking duties.
