Job summary

NHC HealthCare Franklin in Franklin, TN is seeking a talented Cook to join our team. AM and PM shifts are available, with a 5-day work week and a full-time schedule.

Competitive benefits package and supportive team. You will assist with receiving and storing food and supplies, review menus and production sheets, follow standardized recipes, prepare meals to plan, test and taste foods for quality, and supervise when needed to maintain safety and consistency.

Qualifications

• Healthcare food service experience preferred, not required.
• Banquet/Catering experience is preferred, not required.
• Full-time role with 5am-1pm and 12pm-8pm shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assists in receiving and storing food and supplies to prevent waste and assure quality products.
• Review's menus, production sheets before preparing meals; prepares and serves diets properly and portions.
• Follows standardized recipes and special diet orders to meet service requirements.
• Responsible for testing and tasting foods for proper appearance, flavor, aroma, and temperature.
• Supervising when needed.
