Job summary

NHC HealthCare Franklin is hiring a Cook to join our team in Franklin, TN. This full-time position features a mix of 5am-1pm and 12pm-8pm shifts, with AM and PM coverage and a focus on delivering quality meals for our patients and residents.

Healthcare food service experience is preferred, with banquet/catering experience a plus. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for growth, and a positive work environment that values work/life balance.

Responsibilities

• Assists in receiving and storing food and supplies to prevent waste and assure quality products. Dates, labels, and stores items properly. Uses proper food handling techniques.
• Review's menus, therapeutic menus, recipes, and production sheets before preparing meals; prepares and serves diets properly, accurately, and attractively as planned using proper portions and special diet items.
• Follows standardized recipes and special diet orders, preparing sufficient quantities to meet all service requirements.
• Responsible for testing and tasting foods of all consistencies for proper appearance, flavor, aroma, and temperature and adjust if needed.
• Supervising when needed
