Lancaster General Hospital - 555 N. Duke Street

Department

Food Services - Cafeteria

Hours

Full-Time, Variable Hours, 5am-9pm, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Prepare items according to recipes, including vegetables, entrees, baked goods, and sandwiches.
• Set up tray-line, slice meats, and pre-portion items.
• Maintain all hot production areas and equipment in a clean, sanitary condition.
• Ensure proper labeling, dating, and rotation of stock.
• Check food quality throughout preparation and serving.
• Participate in maintaining cleanliness of storage and preparation areas.
• Set up entree and soup stations and check temperatures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of cooking experience in hot production.
• One year of cold food cooking experience.
• One year of volume cooking experience.
• Culinary school diploma with high-volume cooking experience preferred.
• Experience in large volume production and staff training is a plus.
