Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions in Lafayette Center seeks a skilled Cook with experience in high-volume culinary operations for a Skilled Nursing Facility.

You will prepare meals to meet standardized recipes, plate attractively, assist dietary leadership, maintain sanitation, manage inventory, and handle special events. Availability every other weekend is required.

Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with experience in high-volume operations.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion controls.
• Commitment to high sanitation standards and safe food handling.
• Willingness to work every other weekend as required.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Serve as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, rotate stock, assist with purchasing, and support recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
