JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for preparing all meals for patient services, the café, and catering. It follows all applicable recipes or procedures when cooking, monitors food temperature, storage, rotation, and maintains workstation sanitation to ensure meals are prepared according to hospital safety standards. Additional duties related to food service or safety may be performed as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent. Alternatively, two years of professional cook experience.
• Two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to apply elementary math functions.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed, easy-to-follow written or oral instructions using common sense.
• Clear and distinct communication skills, including appropriate pauses, emphasis, and pronunciation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• ServSafe Certification.

Salary Range:

The current salary range for this position is $21.00 to $28.88 per hour.
