Overview

Prepare food of consistent quality and assist in kitchen functions, specifically as a PM line cook.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare food following recipe cards and standards, ensuring quality and proper portioning.
  • Start pre-prepared food items, managing quantities to avoid overproduction.
  • Label and rotate food containers, maintaining proper storage temperatures.
  • Check inventory levels, prepare necessary ingredients, and assist in buffet setup and replenishment.
  • Return unused food to storage, covering and dating perishables.
  • Assist in controlling food costs, waste, and usage according to standards.
  • Operate and clean kitchen equipment, including fryers, ovens, and food processors.
  • Maintain attendance and be available for scheduled shifts.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous hotel or culinary experience preferred.
  • Dexterity to operate food machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. with or without accommodations.
  • Effective communication skills adaptable to various audiences.

Compensation

Salary Range: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour. Not eligible for tips or discretionary bonuses.
