Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center – HCA invites applications for a Cook II PRN. Under general supervision, you will prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of food items according to menus and production sheets, communicating with staff to ensure portion control and quality.

You’ll help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and train teammates as needed. Adherence to HACCP/food safety guidelines is required, and you will use standard equipment and systems to support consistent food production.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare preferred
• 2+ years of experience in quantity cooking preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of food items following menus and production sheets
• Communicate with production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes
• Provide training and guidance to other employees performing related work

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under general supervision, prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of food items in appropriate quantities while following menus, recipes and production sheets while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. Communicates with other production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes. Provides training and guidance to other employees performing related work.

Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures

Utilizes proper equipment to produce standard recipes.

Utilizes systems to quality process/standards in food production

Performs other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

High School Graduate\Equivalent preferred

2 + years of experience in healthcare preferred

2 + years of experience in quantity cooking preferred
