Davidson College Dining is seeking a Cook II to join our Qdoba team on the campus in Davidson, NC. You will prepare food to Davidson College standards in a fast-paced, guest‑focused environment, using fresh ingredients and our state‑of‑the‑art equipment.

This 9‑month, part‑time benefited position covers all meals daily, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with night and weekend shifts required. Candidates should have kitchen experience, food safety knowledge, and the ability to work as part

Formación

• Minimum 1 year experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and health guidelines.
• Food handler certification or ability to obtain in 30 days.
• Allertrain Lite certification or ability to obtain in 30 days.
• Ability to read recipes and measurements.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques.
• Experience using kitchen and cleaning equipment.
• Physical demands including lifting, bending, standing, and walking.
• HS diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare high-quality food according to recipes and schedules.
• Portion and serve meals while maintaining temperature and presentation.
• Taste prepared items and ensure safety standards are met.
• Store or discard excess food per procedures.
• Maintain organized storage of food and supplies.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as directed.
• Report maintenance or safety issues immediately.
• Attend in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintain positive working relationships with staff and guests.
• Assist with set-up for daily operations and events.
• Perform kitchen clean-up and adhere to uniform policy.
