Beach Shops at the CSU is hiring a Cook II for Parkside Dining Hall in Long Beach, CA. This full-time, on-site position offers an hourly wage ranging from $23 to $25 and requires rising responsibilities in food preparation and service.

Under supervision, you will prep and cook meals, supervise staff, and ensure safety, quality, and timely service for students, faculty, staff, and guests. The role emphasizes high-volume cooking, HACCP compliance, and teamwork in a dynamic dining environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years minimum cook experience preferred, with ability to handle high-volume meals.

Responsibilities

• Prep, cook and dispense food for students, faculty, staff and guests.
• Prepare items for salad bars, grill areas, sandwich bars, kiosks and other food areas.
• Supervise food preparation to ensure recipe adherence, quality, safety and presentation.
• Coordinate daily kitchen activities and assist in line service and dish room.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment and areas.
• Assist in cost control and inventory management where needed.
• Follow safety regulations and HACCP standards.
