Job summary

Forty-Niner Shops, Inc. in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Part-time Cook I for Beach Shops to handle the preparation and service of foods in our retail dining operation. You will work with student employees and foster a learning environment through training and mentoring.

Under the supervision of Cook II, you will follow SOPs, ensure quality and safety, and support sustainability initiatives. Shifts include mornings to evenings with a focus on break and academic calendars, and lifting up to 50

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• A high school diploma or high school equivalent is preferred.
• Two years of experience as a cook in a fast paced quick-serve restaurant is preferred.
• CA Food Handler Card required or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensures quality and timeliness of prepared foods.
• Prepares and serves food in accordance with menus and standards.
• Stores food properly and maintains sanitation of work areas.
• Receives, inspects, and stocks supplies; maintains accurate records.
