Job summary

Sycuan is seeking a Cook II to support the Sous Chef by preparing specialty and standard menu items using approved recipes. You will maintain all food, equipment and kitchen areas to casino health codes and standards, while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment for guests and staff.

The role requires reading tickets, following FIFO, and ensuring consistent flavor, quality and presentation. Relevant culinary training and a San Diego area driver’s license are beneficial.

Qualifications

• County of San Diego Food Handler Card required.
• 1 year casual and/or fine dining cooking experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Culinary degree preferred; valid California driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specialty cuisine items and standard menu items per approved recipes.
• Maintain food, equipment and kitchens to health codes and casino standards.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude toward guests and colleagues.
• Read food order tickets and track production sheets; follow FIFO.
