Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts in Short Hills, NJ, is seeking a dedicated cook to join our culinary team. Located across from The Mall at Short Hills, our Hilton Short Hills property offers an outdoor terrace, pool, and guest-focused experiences.

You will prepare and present high-quality meals for guests, following recipes and standardized portions. We value hands-on hospitality, teamwork, and pride in guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a cook, preferably in a hotel setting.
• Food Handler certification required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and uses high-quality ingredients for all menu items.
• Deliver timely and consistent dishes to guests.
• Prepare food according to recipes and portion standards.
• Cook according to quality, presentation standards, and checklists; date and rotate food containers.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Located across the street from The Mall at Short Hills, the Hilton Short Hills features locally sourced food, an outdoor terrace and lounge, tennis courts and an indoor/outdoor pool to offer a memorable and enjoyable experience to our guests.

Here Is What You Will Be Doing Each Day

• Inspects, selects and uses food items of the highest quality in the preparation of all menu items
• Ensure food to order items for customers/guests are in a timely and consistent manner.
• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist. Date all food containers and rotate.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
