Key Skills & Responsibilities
- Prepare and supervise food items with precision, ensuring every dish meets high standards of quality, portioning, and presentation.
- Lead and assist kitchen staff to maintain efficient operations and consistently deliver high-quality food and service.
- Anticipate challenges and resolve issues proactively to keep kitchen operations running smoothly.
- Share information effectively and address concerns from co‑workers and guests with professionalism and clarity.
- Keep the kitchen spotless and well‑organized, always meeting sanitation and safety standards.
- Take initiative by anticipating needs and acting before issues arise, keeping service seamless.
- Manage time wisely to ensure food preparation and service are prompt and on point.
Education & Experience
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience, or a culinary graduate with at least 1 year of experience in a hotel or related field.
- Food Handlers Certification required (must comply with State requirements).
- Able to work effectively under pressure, maintaining composure while quickly evaluating situations and determining the best course of action.
- Strong communicator who listens actively to understand concerns raised by co‑workers and guests, and effectively conveys ideas and solutions.
