Job summary

LewisGale Hospital Pulaski is hiring a Cook II to prepare, season, and cook a variety of items according to menus and production sheets. You will train and guide other staff while maintaining a clean, sanitary workspace. Adherence to HACCP and safe food handling is required.

The role requires a high school graduate with 2+ years in healthcare and cooking. Benefits are provided by LewisGale Hospital Pulaski as part of the LewisGale Regional Health System.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in quantity cooking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures.
• Utilize proper equipment to produce standard recipes.
• Utilize systems to quality process/standards in food production.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under general supervision, prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of food items in appropriate quantities while following menus, recipes and production sheets while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. Communicates with other production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes. Provides training and guidance to other employees performing related work.

• Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures
• Utilizes proper equipment to produce standard recipes.
• Utilizes systems to quality process/standards in food production
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need

• High School Graduate\Equivalent preferred
• 2 + years of experience in healthcare preferred
• 2 + years of experience in quantity cooking Preferred
