We are seeking a Cook II who will be responsible for the quality control of items prepared within our kitchens. Part of the Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels & Resorts portfolio, HOTEL PASEO offers guests a distinctive desert retreat featuring 150 thoughtfully designed guest rooms and suites, many showcasing breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains and palm-lined landscape. What you will be doing:

• Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.

What we are looking for:

• Previous cooking experience required, 1-2 years in a similar position preferred, Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods, work in a confined space with high levels of noise and frequent interruptions, and perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
• Ability to obtain any local, state or federal license or certification for sanitation, liquor service, or food service certification.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
