Job summary

Loews Nashville Hotel is seeking a dedicated cook to join our culinary team in a luxury property on West End. You will prep, cook, and plate menu items, adhere to recipes, control portions, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen.

Competitive benefits accompany your growth opportunities. Three+ years cooking in upscale, high-volume environments, strong sanitation knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

  • Three+ years cooking experience in upscale, high-volume hotel or restaurant.
  • Thorough knowledge of Food Service Sanitation Standards.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend; lift up to 50 pounds; read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and organizes work area with all necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Receives, inspects, rotates all food products to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Prepares and stores raw food items; follows standardized recipes.
  • Adheres to portion control guidelines and minimizes waste.
  • Plates foods according to presentation guidelines and serves promptly.
  • Follows Governmental Food Sanitation Standards at all times.
  • Monitors refrigeration and holding temperatures; cleans and sanitizes surfaces.
  • Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
