Job summary

Shea Properties is seeking a Cook 1 for IronOaks at Sun Lakes, a resort community in Arizona. The role involves food preparation, cooking, and serving as part of the Food & Beverage team, reporting to Kitchen leadership.

The position requires handling kitchen tasks, following recipes, and maintaining high guest service standards. The role supports a fast-paced environment with evenings and weekends, offering opportunities to contribute to a team-focused food program and growth within the resort

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating procedures.
• Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members.

Responsibilities

• Master one kitchen station and accept responsibility for personal decisions and actions.
• Ensure superior service standards meet guests and employees.
• Investigate and resolve guest or employee challenges when needed.
• Follow daily cleaning schedule to maintain a sanitary kitchen.
• Prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles per recipes.
• Carve meats and portion food on serving plates with garnishes.
