A Cook is responsible for preparing and executing food items according to menu, recipes, and established standards to create outstanding dining experiences, provide exceptional service, and ensure financial profitability.

What will I be doing?

As a Cook, you will prepare food following recipes, prep lists, and directions, contributing to the restaurant's success by delivering high-quality dishes efficiently and accurately.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assist in food preparation such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and cooking dishes from start to finish.
  • Follow recipes and instructions from the Chef, Kitchen Supervisors, and trainers.
  • Create guest orders promptly and accurately, maintaining friendly service.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items and ingredients.
  • Keep workstations and equipment clean and sanitized, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Label, store, and rotate ingredients to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Properly chill, heat, and hold food products.
  • Set up and break down kitchen stations for service.
  • Support team members during busy periods or special events.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
  • Receive and store deliveries appropriately.
  • Continuously improve culinary skills with guidance from the team.
  • Communicate effectively within the kitchen and with other departments.
