Job summary

Kohler Co. is seeking a Cook I, Banquets for onsite, PM shift jobs primarily on weekends. You will prepare hot and cold foods to meet Kohler hospitality standards with a focus on quality, consistency, and service environment.

No prior experience is required; a willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions is valued. The role is part-time with weekend and weekday evening hours, up to 29 hours per week.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary, professional schooling is not required, only a willingness to learn.
• Able to follow written and verbal instruction efficiently with supervision.
• Preferred, but not required - Have a high school diploma and or a reading, speaking, and written fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain composure and focus during peak times.
• Assist in ensuring food does not enter the temperature danger zone.

Opportunity

Responsible for preparing hot and cold food products that represent the standards for Kohler hospitality with quality, consistency, and surroundings in mind.

This position is primarily PM shifts.

Specific Responsibilities:

Production

• Prepare all foods necessary for service to the demonstrated culinary standards.
  
• Produce all quantities as directed by leadership.
  
• Maintain composure and focus in occasional high stress peak times in business.
  

Sanitation

• Assist in ensuring that food prepared does not fall into the temperature danger zone and take immediate action if jeopardized.
  
• Adhere to Company grooming policies, break policies, and eating policies.
  
• Practice safe food handling techniques always and in all venues.
  

Safety

• Maintain the knife safety standards outlined from knife safety training document.
  
• Utilize the safety stations and be aware of any current or potential hazards.
  
• Working knowledge of some equipment within your job duties. Know how to assemble, disassemble, and clean all equipment.
  
• Knowledge of approved chemicals used proper storage and usage.

Luxury Standards

• Clean coat, apron, hat, proper pants, non-slip shoes.
  
• A service culture mindset and team player mentality.

This is a non-benefited PM part-time position working weekends and weekdays. Shifts range from 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm, averaging up to 29 hours a week.

The hourly range for this position is $16.60 - $24.90. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.
