Job summary

Kohler Co. in Kohler, WI is seeking a PM Food Prep role to prepare hot and cold foods that meet Kohler hospitality standards, with emphasis on quality, consistency, and surroundings.

This position is primarily PM shifts, part-time and non-benefited, with hours 2:00 pm–11:00 pm and up to 29 hours weekly, requiring a willingness to learn and adherence to safety and grooming policies.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary, professional schooling is not required, only a willingness to learn.
• Able to follow written and verbal instruction efficiently with supervision.
• Preferred, but not required - Have a high school diploma and or a reading, speaking, and written fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all foods to demonstrated culinary standards.
• Produce all quantities as directed by leadership.
• Maintain composure and focus during peak times.
• Assist in ensuring food does not fall into the temperature danger zone.
• Adhere to grooming, break, and eating policies.
• Practice safe food handling techniques in all venues.
• Maintain knife safety standards and operate safety stations.
• Know how to assemble, disassemble, and clean equipment.

This position is primarily PM shifts.

Specific Responsibilities

Production

• Prepare all foods necessary for service to the demonstrated culinary standards.
• Produce all quantities as directed by leadership.
• Maintain composure and focus in occasional high stress peak times in business.

Sanitation

• Assist in ensuring that food prepared does not fall into the temperature danger zone and take immediate action if jeopardized.
• Adhere to Company grooming policies, break policies, and eating policies.
• Practice safe food handling techniques always and in all venues.

Safety

• Maintain the knife safety standards outlined from knife safety training document.
• Utilize the safety stations and be aware of any current or potential hazards.
• Working knowledge of some equipment within your job duties. Know how to assemble, disassemble, and clean all equipment.
• Knowledge of approved chemicals used proper storage and usage.

Luxury Standards

• Clean coat, apron, hat, proper pants, non-slip shoes.
• A service culture mindset and team player mentality.

This is a non-benefited PM part-time position working weekends and weekdays. Shifts range from 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm, averaging up to 29 hours a week.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. The hourly range for this position is $16.60 - $24.90. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.
