Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is hiring a Cook for OKANA Resort & Indoor Water Park in Oklahoma City. The role involves contributing to the culinary team, following recipes, and preparing ingredients for various service periods in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

You will learn and apply cooking procedures (grill, sauté, fry), work with knives and kitchen equipment, and help minimize waste while maintaining high standards of food quality and sanitation.

Qualifications

  • Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to obtain one.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Develop knowledge of cooking procedures and methods (grill, sauté, fry).
  • Prepare ingredients and maintain sanitation in the kitchen.
  • Assist in producing and fabricating food for kitchen preparation, dining and events.
  • Create workstations and ensure orderly workspace.

This individual must be creative, motivated, and passionate about growing their talents in the kitchen!Successful candidates for this role will have previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, with a strong desire to learn, to develop skills and work with the culinary leadership team to create menus which reflect seasonal availability and concept of the restaurant.The Cook assists the Chef in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining.
