Job summary

OKANA Resort & Indoor Water Park, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, invites you to join our Culinary team as a Cook. You will prepare meals across restaurants, outlets and banquets, maintaining sanitation standards and operating kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain work areas clean and organized.
  • Monitor presentation and portioning according to standards.
  • Monitor quality and consistency of all food served from the lines.
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Set up, restock, maintain and clean food preparation areas.
  • Demonstrate sanitation knowledge and proper handling of food.
  • Ensure special of the day is completed in a timely manner.
  • Prepare food according to menus, recipe cards and photos.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings.
  • Complete other duties including cross-training as assigned by supervisor.

About The Role

The Cook will prepare and cook food according to the standards set forth by the OKANA Resort. This person will be responsible for working in assigned areas, including restaurants, outlets, and banquets and producing food offerings that are appealing and tasteful to resort guests. They must be familiar with the operation of all kitchen equipment, including grills, ovens, and fryers. All cooks must maintain their respective work areas according to health department sanitation standards and report any inoperable equipment to the Kitchen Engineer.

  • Conversational English including the ability to read menus and recipe cards.
  • Ability to handle high‑volume activity in the restaurant, outlet or banquet kitchen.
