Position Summary

Prepare special meals or substitute items. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Thaw food from freezer storage. Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food. Maintain food logs. Monitor food quality and quantity. Communicate assistance needed during busy periods. Inform Chef of excess food items for specials. Notify Food & Beverage staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, standards, and checklists. Prepare cold foods.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
• Follow all safety and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain professional appearance; keep proprietary information confidential; protect company assets.
• Address guests’ service needs proactively.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members.
• Develop positive working relationships; support team goals; respond appropriately to colleagues’ concerns.
• Adhere to quality standards and expectations.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; reach, bend, twist, pull, and stoop as needed.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.
