Overview

Prepare food of consistent quality and assist in kitchen functions, primarily for the AM shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare food following recipes, standards, and server checks.
• Start pre-prepared food items, ensuring proper portioning and avoiding over-preparation.
• Label, date, and rotate food containers per standards, maintaining proper temperatures for perishables.
• Check inventory levels, prepare necessary items, and assist in buffet stocking.
• Store unused food properly, covering and dating perishables.
• Contribute to controlling food costs, waste, and usage according to standards.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, and food processors.
• Maintain regular attendance and availability for shifts.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Preferred hotel experience.
• Dexterity to operate food machinery, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. continuously, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.

Compensation

Salary Range: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
