Job summary

Loews Arlington Hotel is hiring a Cook for our high-volume hotel kitchen. You will set up workstations, prepare and store ingredients, and follow standardized recipes to deliver high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires three or more years of cooking experience in upscale settings or post-secondary culinary training, with knowledge of sanitation standards and the ability to handle lifting up to 50 pounds. English literacy is essential, and flexible scheduling is needed.

Qualifications

  • Three+ years cooking experience in upscale, high volume hotel or freestanding restaurant.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Food Service Sanitation Standards.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend; lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and organizes work area with all necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Receives, inspects, rotates all food products to ensure fresh, high quality ingredients are used.
  • Prepares and stores raw food products properly and follows standardized recipes.
  • Monitors refrigeration and holding temperatures; ensures safe handling and sanitation.
  • Returns utensils to pot wash area and ensures closing side work is complete.
