Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation seeks Cooks' Helpers to join the WNS Camp on the North Slope. These roles support food preparation, cleaning, and stocking duties in a remote camp environment, on a 3 weeks on/3 weeks off rotation.

Ideal candidates are team-oriented, reliable, and able to thrive in arctic conditions while living in dormitory housing with meals provided. This remote camp position offers a unique arctic work experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least two years in a commercial kitchen or vocational training.
• Ability to obtain Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification.
• Pass all pre-employment requirements (drug test, physical, fit for duty, hearing test).
• Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to live in dormitory-style housing.
• Willingness to travel to remote camps.
• Must speak, read and write English.

These positions support food preparation, cleaning, and stocking duties in a remote camp environment, working a rotational 3 weeks on/3 weeks off schedule. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, reliable, and able to thrive in challenging arctic conditions while supporting kitchen operations.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• At least two years of work experience in a commercial kitchen or documented vocational training
• Ability to obtain Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification upon hire
• Pass all pre-employment contract requirements (drug test, physical, fit for duty assessment, hearing test)
• Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts and perform physical tasks (lifting, carrying, climbing stairs, squatting, kneeling)
• Ability to live in dormitory-style settings and meet cleanliness requirements
• Ability to travel by plane and/or bus to remote camps
• Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English
• Adherence to all safety guidelines and regulations
