Job summary

The Gardens at West Shore in Camp Hill, PA seeks a Cook to join our skilled nursing facility. You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in accordance with planned menus and portion controls.

This full-time role requires a 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM shift with every other weekend. You will work with dietary guidelines, follow recipes, ensure portion control, maintain sanitation, and support a safe, pleasant dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of dietary or healthcare food service experience is preferred.
• Culinary school training is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all meals as scheduled
• Coordinate food production with meal service times
• Follow standardized recipes and special diet orders
• Ensure proper portion control and plate presentation
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, abbreviations, and portions
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and production regulations
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
