Job summary

Frederick Living in Pennsylvania is seeking a dependable Cook to prepare meals for community dining, the Bistro, and special events, following recipes, dietary requirements, and sanitation standards.

You will work 10:00am-6:30pm, every other weekend and holiday rotation, with no late nights, and enjoy benefits such as health insurance, 401K match, tuition reimbursement, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years cooking experience in a healthcare or food service setting preferred.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Commitment to person-centered care and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and accompaniments following recipes and preparation sheets for dining room service, healthcare center, Bistro, and special events.
• Work varied shifts preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, soups, and sauces.
• Operate Bistro stations including grill, fryer, deli, and pizza.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques.
• Follow safety and sanitation rules and practices.
• Work independently with proper guidance.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment for residents, staff, and self.
